Stampin' Up! Coffee Cafe - stepped up
Hello, here are the details of our second project this week using the Coffee Cafe bundle - love a bundle and the 10% saving! This particular bundle and the DSP are about to retire although the stamps and the Framelits will be available separately in the upcoming Annual Catalogue. At the time of my writing this post the bundle and the DSP (which will retire) are still available ... just saying!
The inspiration for this card came from Elizabeth Hill Rush - her card was painted with coffee!
We used the Aqua Painters this week to add some colour to the coffee cup - love the effect with the ink on the Water Colour Paper, so effective.
We also added some colour below the cup to 'ground' it.
I think the tiny coffee bean stamp is my favourite thing in the Coffee Cafe bundle!
I used one of the Corrugated Elements on my card with a tiny bow tied in my favourite Linen Thread. I am so pleased the thread will be joining us in the upcoming Annual Catalgoue!
I placed an order for some more of these corrugated shapes but unfortunately my order did not arrive in time so I was short of a few hearts for C & C.
However, a solution was at hand in the form of the Sweet & Sassy Framelit Dies and some Crumb Cake card.
The die above can be found in the Coffee Cups Framelits - it will cut and emboss to create a corrugated coffee sleeve - brilliant!
The heart on the left is my version - not too bad even if I do say so myself!
I used the tiny coffee bean stamp to decorate the inside of the card - I resisted the urge to stamp lots of beans but for the envelope I created a border along the edge.
Here is the completed card and envelope - did you spot the stamped border of coffee beans above the DSP?
Thanks to everyone who joined me this week, I will be back to three sessions as usual next week!
I will post details of the projects for next week as soon as I have made them!
(Don't forget to check out the updated Clearance Rack).
Happy crafting!
