Stampin' Up! Animal Outing for Global Stamping Friends
Hello, I am so excitied to be joining a group of talented Stampin' Demonstrators from around the world for the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop!
Can you believe I have been a member of this group for 12 months and this is the first time I have been able to hop along? Terrible, I know!
Our theme this month is 'home decor'. I often make pictures and wreaths so I thought I had better push myself and come up with something different.
One of my current favourite bundles in the new catalogue is Animal Outing - I have been using it a lot!
One of my team members had the most gorgeous baby boy called Casey four months ago so I decided I would make something just for him!
I cut 5 pennants from Old Olive cardstock. I have an old Sizzix die that I used but if you wanted to cut them yourself it is very easy. Mine measured 13cm across the top and 17cm down to the point.
I cut the letters using the Large Letters Framelits and adhered using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
I spent some time stamping, die cutting and colouring the characters from Animal Outing. I coloured my images using the Stampin' Blends - I love the effects you can achieve with these fabulous pens.
I cut out lots of leaves using the Animal Friends and Tropical Tinlits Dies and then began assembling. I spent ages arranging and rearranging until I was happy with the results.
Here is the letter 'C'
The large leaves on each side were stamped in Old Olive and then die cut. I then used some Lemon Lime Twist cardstock to cut the centres and adhered on top.
I stamped some leaves (I think) underneath the rhinoceros so that he had something to sit on.
Here s the letter 'A'
Love an upside down giraffe don't you?
Here is the letter 'S'
The birds are from a recently retired stamp set called Bird Banter. The branch is from Seasonal layers.
Here is the letter 'E'
An upside down frog to match the giraffe!
Here is the letter 'Y'
Once I had finished all the pennants, I had to find something to string them on. I tried various ribbons but they did not look quite right. Then I remembered I had some garden string ...
Here is the finished bunting - I hope Casey likes it!
