Stampin' Up! Baby Bear - stepped up

Hello, I'm back again with the details of our second project this week using Baby Bear.

Every now and then it makes a nice change to try a different style of card doesn't it?

This week our second project is a double z fold card.  They are really quick and easy to make once you know how.  Instead of prepping the card base for my crafty ladies this week I taught them how to score and cut their own!

There are lots of tutorials on Pinterest but I don't like to make things difficult so, I cut and score both the card base and the 'arm' together.  This way, you know for definite that they will be the same in every way!

I have been asked to include the measurements this week so that my crafty ladies can make lots more of these cards.

Trim an A4 piece of card so that it measures 28cm x 13cm.

Score on the long edge at 7cm and 14cm.

Turn and cut on the short edge at 10cm.

You will now have your card base and a 3cm wide 'Z'.

The Stamparatus makes easy work of stamping the little bear.  We stamped two of them and carefully cut out one whole bear and just the head of the other.

The head has been raised on a Stampin' Dimensional to add depth.  My favourite part of this card is the bow which has been tucked underneath the bears chin!

I used some of the lovely Twinkle Twinkle DSP to decorate the panels of the card.

Here are the dimensions for the DSP panels.

13.5cm x 9.5cm
13.5 cm x 2.5cm
6.5cm x 9.5cm
6.5cm x 2.5cm

I also used a panel of Whisper White for the back so that I could write a message (13.5cm x 9.5cm).

I used one of the framelits from the Stitched Label Framelits for the sentiment.

Leftover strips of DSP were used to decorate the panel on the reverse and the envelope.

Thanks to everyone who joined me this week - the Cherry Cobbler version of our first project was the most popular.

I hope the measurements make sense - if not, just give me a shout and I will do my best to help.  You can have lots of fun with z fold cards - the possibilities are endless ...

I made a couple of different versions of this card this week - using different DSP makes a big difference.  I have 'homes' in mind for them; I will try to remember to take photos of them once I have finished them to share with you.

Next week for Coffee & Cards we will be using a stamp and punch bundle called Making Christmas Bright.

Don't forget the World Card Making Day offers that are only available until Sunday - there are some useful basic items all with a 10% discount.

I will be celebrating my birthday all weekend but I will schedule a post with the details of the projects for next week - hope you can join me for a crafty coffee soon.

Happy crafting!

Susan xx
