Stampin' Up! Dashing Deer

Hello,  my post today is sharing the cards I made as my personal Christmas cards this year using a bundle called Dashing Deer.

I have loved using this bundle and I really, really hope it returns in the 2019/2020 Annual Catalogue.

I had a lot of these cards to make and it would have taken ages and ages if I had not used the Stamparatus.

I carefully positioned the border and the sentiment so that I could stamp both at the same time - so much quicker this way!  I used Sahara Sand A4 card and Early Espresso ink.  (I also stamped the border on the inside and on the envelope so that everything coordinated).

I then got busy stamping both small deer's and then cut them out with the matching framelits.

I used the lovely trees from Winter Woods cut from the Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper and my favourite Stitched Shape Framelits with some vellum.

Now all I had to do was assemble my cards!  I adhered the two deer with mini dimensionals and then carefully place further dimensionals behind the deer on the vellum and adhered to the base.

I used some of the lovely Braided Linen Trim wrapped around the base to 'ground' the deer.  I then used my trusty Tombow the adhere the tree.  I then used more dimensionals to adhere the panel to a Whisper White card base.

I used some of the Copper Shimmer Paint and the small ball tool on the Take Your Pick to add some dots to the stamped border.

Here is the completed card and envelope - something a little different to the traditional colours of Christmas but I like it!

Every time I batch make cards I realise that I can not count - as usual, I ended up with several spares of each element of my card!

I will be back soon with my first review of 2018 post!

Happy Christmas.

Susan xx
