Geared Up Garage - quick & simple
Hello, here are the details for our first project this week using Geared Up Garage.
We are also using a brilliant FREE Sale-A-Bration item that can be found on page 12 in the SAB catalogue. Grapefruit Grove/Lovely Lipstick foil sheets. You get to choose this item for FREE with a £45 spend - 8 sheets, 4 of each colour, 12" x 12".
We used this foil with one of the dies in the Garage Gears Thinlits - look at the colours in the foil ...
Two simple die cuts adhered to a Whisper White base that was then adhered to the card blank with Dimensionals look simply stunning cut with this gorgeous foil.
We used one of my new favourite items; the Rectangle Stitched Framelits and one of the sentiments in this set. A further die cut trio of cogs was placed to one side. I used the 'waste' from the background sheet of Mini Dimensionals to cut tiny pieces from so that you can't see them.
Here is the finished card.
Did I mention that I really, really like the Classic Garage Suite? Well, I do! I decided to have a bit of a play and came up with another two versions of this card.
This one is the dirty version. We used the splodgy/smudgy stamp to create a background panel before adhering the gears. We used Smoky Slate ink that was 'stamped off' first.
The inside of the card and the envelope were stamped to coordinate.
Then I used a sponge to add even more ink to the edges of the stamped panel and the sentiment.
This is the very dirty version!
Obviously, I like all three versions and can't decide which I prefer!
This morning I offered my crafty ladies the chance to change things around a bit and let them choose which version they would like to make. They all choose dirty versions! I'll keep a tally and let you know which was the most popular at the end of the week.
