Vibrant Vases - stepped up

Here are the details for our final project this week using a stamp set called Vibrant Vases.

We started with a Pear Pizzazz card base and added another layer 5mm smaller in Whisper White.

We used the Lovely Floral embossing folder to create a background for our card and this is where the choice of colour was offered.

My favourite Stitched Shape Framelits were used to create a panel for the vase of flowers.  We used coordinating DSP and the Vases Builder Punch and then stamped the flowers in Smoky Slate ink.  We used ink in the same colour as the embossed panel to fill in the flowers and used Pear Pizzazz for the leaves.

A simple double bow using a 'pulled' thread from the Flax Ribbon was added to the neck of the vase, adhered with a rolled up glue dot.  Jewels were added to the centre of the flowers for a bit of sparkle.  A 1cm strip of card was stamped with the sentiment which is from a stamp set called Varied Vases and tucked behind the panel with some of the Flax Ribbon.

The inside of the card (and the envelope) was decorated to coordinate.

Isn't it amazing how changing the colour on a project can make such a difference?

Here are some variations of this project; as each week goes on I tend to make little changes to my original designs.  I like the Highland Heather version best!

On Tuesday morning I ran a children's craft session and we were joined by Aimee.  She had such a good time that she stayed for our Coffee & Cards session with her Nanny Bev!

These are the first cards she made - what a great job she did!

The most popular colour choices for our projects this week were Highland Heather closely followed by Daffodil Delight!

Thanks to everyone who joined me for some crafty fun this week.  Next week we will be using a stamp set called Humming Along.

Have a crafty weekend!
