Butterfly Gala - Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge #JOSTTT003
Hello and welcome to another Joy of Sets TIC Tac Toe Challenge! This month our challenge grid has been designed by Jane Allmark.
I decided to use Green, Water Colouring and Sparkle for my project.
My project for this challenge started with me finding a pack of these lovely Glitter Enamel Dots - they were tucked away on my shelf and had not even been opened.
I decided to keep things simple and use just two colours and my favourite Whisper White for the card base.
To create the background for my card I used a piece of Water Colour Paper and spritzed it with water. I then stamped onto the wet paper using two of the dotty images from Beauty Abounds. This is the effect I achieved (this time).
Top Tip
Spritzing the paper before you stamp lets the inks blend/bleed and move around the paper to create some interesting effects.
I used several of the dies from the Wonderful Floral Framelits cutting them out of Whisper White card.
I used the end of my Paper Piercer to add shape and dimension to each tiny flower and then added an enamel dot to the centre to coordinate with inks I chose to use. I just love how Stampin' Up! allow you to achieve such easy coordiantion don't you?
I used a sentiment from Wonderful Romance, stamping in Crumb Cake for a softer look.
I used one of the lovely butterflies from a stamp set called Butterfly Gala and used the coordinating punch too. The outline has been stamped in Coastal Cabana and the inner has been stamped with second generation Granny Apple Green. I curled the wings around my poky tool.
I also used some of the stamps and die cuts to decorate the inside of the card.
Here is the completed card and envelope.
Thanks to Fiona for organising us with this great challenge and to Jane for this months grid design! We will be back next month with another Tic Tac Toe Challenge for you.
I hope you have enjoyed my project; I always enjoy reading what you think of my projects and I would love you to leave a comment below.
