A Little Lace - Joy Of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge #JOSTTT007
Hello and welcome to another Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge organised by Fiona Whitehead! Our challenge this month has been chosen by Laura Awsom Geffert. I decided to use Ribbon, Die Cut and Emboss.
As usual, I am making my project at the last minute - I fear this will never change!
I decided to use a new bundle I've had on my shelf for a little while but never used called A Little Lace.
I'm using one of the new In Colours too - Seaside Spray with Whisper White for my project.
The emboss part of the challenge was easy, my favourite Subtle embossing folder used with a panel of Seaside Spray card.
I used the large die in this bundle on the bottom third of my embossed panel and then used the border die for the die cut part of the challenge.
This die is amazing, it is so detailed. You definitely need a die brush to get all the bits out of the die though!
My next decision was which colour should I use for the card base - Seaside Spray or Whisper White?
I asked the crafty ladies on my facebook page and the answer was unanimous!
For the final part of this challenge, the ribbon, I used a piece of the lovely Scalloped Linen Trim - its soo pretty! I wrapped it around the panel and then adhered the panel to the card base with dimensionals.
I decided to make a tiered daisy - I have been using Daisy Lane all week for my Coffee & Cards sessions. I have to say I love this stamp set especially now that we have the medium Daisy Punch!
I stamped and punched out two medium daisies and two larger ones, curled and shaped the petals and assembled with a dab of Tombow in the centres.
I used a dimensional to adhere the smaller flower to the larger one.
I added to flower to the card using a double layer of dimensionals so I wouldn't loose the domed effect. I used one of the sparkly clear faceted gems for the centre of the flower for a bit of sparkle.
I used one of my favourite Stitched Rectangle dies for this lovely sentiment.
I always like to decorate the insides (and the envelopes) of my projects. There is a lovely, simple border stamp in the A Little Lace stamp set that reminds me of a dinner service I had when I was first married many years ago. I stamped the image in Seaside spray ink.
Here is the completed card and envelope.
The A Little Lace stamp set is available with the dies as a bundle which gives a 10% saving and, all orders this month over £45 will receive a Bonus Coupon for £4.50 to spend next month! So, if this lovely bundle is on your wish list now might be the time to treat yourself.
Why not head over the the Joy of Sets Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team have made of this fun challenge HERE, there are some lovley projects this month.
If you haven't tried a Tic Tac Toe challenge before or a box card why not give it a go; if you are stuck in a rut or suffering from crafter's block you might just find it useful! You can also enter our challenge and share your project - there is a chance you could be our next guest designer and hop along with us next month!
Details of the products I used for this project can be found below.
Thanks again to Fiona for keeping us DT Members organised and to Laura for choosing our grid this month.
Happy crafting!
