Very Versailles - stepped up

Here are the details for our final project this week using a very versatile stamp set called Very Versailles.

We created a background panel for our card using thick Whisper White card and the lovely script image and Sahara Sand ink - stamping partial images in two corners.  The panel was cut 1cm smaller than the card front.

The leaves have been stamped in the remaining corners using Pretty Peacock ink.

We then scuffed the edges of the Whisper White panel and also a piece of Pretty Peacock card that was cut 5mm smaller than the card front.

A piece of the Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon was wrapped around the WW panel which was then adhered to the Pretty Peacock panel with dimensionals.

I used one of my favourite Stitched Shape dies and a sentiment from Botanical Bliss.

The large butterfly from a stamp set called Butterfly Bliss has been punched out and curled and shaped for dimension before adhering with a dab of Tombow.  added to one side.

I get to make several of each C & C project each week and I invariably make tweaks and changes as the week goes on.  This week I could not decide which finishing touch I preferred, sequins in Pretty Peacock, jewels or different coloured sequins!

The pot of Woven Heirloom sequins is full of all the new In Colours in three different sizes so I might have got a bit carried away!

The inside of the card and the envelope have been stamped to coordinate.  I love creating my own backgrounds; Very Versailles makes it very easy!

I even scuffed the edges of my insert - this proved a scuff too far for one lady on Thursday though!

Here is the completed card and envelope.

Thanks to everyone who joined me this week.  I'm pleased to say that I have managed to convert several of my crafty ladies to the art of scuffing edges this week - in fact, only one of them refused to scuff!!  I will share details of the projects for next week over the weekend.

I'm back hopping again with the Design Team at Joy of Sets with another Tic Tac Toe challenge.

Have a crafty weekend.

Susan xx
