Dashing Deer - stepped up

Here are the details for our final project this week using a stamp set called Dashing Deer.

This card is, unusually for me, a side opening card.  The project started with a panel of Basic Grey card cut 5mm smaller than the card base.  The panel has been embossed with the Subtle embossing folder and then adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

We also used the Hardwood embossing folder on a 2.5cm wide strip of Soft Suede card.  We used a sponge brayer and the Delicata Celestial Copper ink to give a subtle sparkler to the panel before adhering with dimensionals too.

The deer has been cut from Early Espresso card and has also been inked with the sponge brayer.

The Celestial Copper ink changes the look of the card; turning plain brown card into something shimmery and metalicky.

A sentiment (Itty Bitty Christmas), has been stamped in Memento onto a strip of white card, one end has been cut at a jaunty angle.  I added a lovely copper star on the left and then adhered with more dimensionals.

I used the border stamp from Dashing Deer and soft Suede ink to simply decorate the inside of the card and the flap of the envelope.

Here is the completed card and envelope - I confess I went a bit mad with the pearls but they sort of look like snow ... well. maybe!
