Peaceful Boughs - quick & simple
Here are the details for our first project this week using the Peaceful Boughs bundle.
Here are the colours I am using for my project.
Not colours that immediately spring to mind for a Christmas card but the addition of the gorgeous Delicata Copper and Gold inks and some gold foil liven things up a bit!
This project started with a panel of thick whisper white card. I used sponge daubers (one for each colour), and three different inks to create a background.
I also used another dauber and Soft Suede ink to add definition to the edges.
Now for the fun part! I used a Stampin' Spritz with clean water to spray the panel twice. The Stampin' Up! ink pads are water based so the spritz of water reactivates the ink.
Once the panel was dry, this is what I ended up with. Different every single time and so much fun.
I used the larger bough die and basic black card to create the focal point of the card. I used (yet more) sponge daubers with the Delicata Copper and Gold inks to liven up the bough. I snipped one section off the bough so it would sit nicely on the panel.
I used Soft Suede card and gold metallic foil to create the pine cones. The larger one has been adhered with Tombow and the smaller with dimensionals.
The panel was adhered to the card with dimensionals and I used Memento ink to stamp a sentiment (Itty Bitty Christmas) in the bottom corner.
Here is the completed card and envelope. The inside of the card and the envelope have as always, been stamped too.
Yesterday I made a slightly different version of my project. I changed the orientation to landscape and this time, I used the complete bough.
