So Many Stars - stepped up

Here are the details for our final project this week using the So Many Stars bundle.

We used Mint Macaron ink to stamp out a star and used the coordinating die to cut it out.  We also cut this lovely open style star from Coastal Cabana card.

A mini dimensional placed in the centre of the Coastal Cabana star has been used to adhere it to the larger star.  A large jewel in the centre has been added for a bit more sparkle.

**  I used lots of dimensionals on the back of the large star too - see below for a Top Tip!

We used another new die set called Beautiful Boughs to die cut the branches to sit behind the focal point of this card.

We used Shaded Spruce card to cut out two of the double branches and Mint Macaron to cut out two single branches.

All the branches have been adhered to Whisper White panel, (5mm smaller than the Shaded Spruce Card base) using a dab of Tombow on just the end of each stem.  This saves getting messy with the glue but also allows the boughs to lift up at the end and look more dimensional.

We used some of the lovely Silver Glimmer Paper and another die from the bundle.

**  Top Tip
Glimmer Paper can be tricky to adhere.  Instead of getting messing with glue (and frustrated), the die cut piece has just been laid across the top of the boughs.  Remember the large star above with lots of dimensionals on the back?

I adhered this star on top of the Silver Glimmer element and gave it a good press down.  No adhesive needed now! 

Save the 'waste' from the Silver Glimmer die cut - there are five stars in there that we will use later!

We used a border stamp and Shaded Spruce ink across the back of the envelope and on the insert inside the card too.

Remember those stars?  I used some of them to add a bit of sparkle to the insert!

Next week we will be using a stamp set called Dashing Deer to make two Nordic style cards.
