Craftyduckydoodah! Review of 2019 - Part 3

Hello and welcome to part three of my review of 2019.  I am pleased to say that the last of my Christmas turkey is bubbling on the hob for dinner and then that is it!  Not sure what happened this year but I have not had a single turkey sandwich!

July
I have been holding one Christmas in July Coffee & Cards session for the last few years now and this year was no exception.  We used a lovely new stamp called Free As A Bird.  These little birds are very versatile and be coloured in lots of different combinations.  For these projects they were coloured as Robins.

For my extended craft workshop this month we made a Pop Twist card using a very versatile bundle called Sailing Home.  You can see the full project HERE - there is also a link to a fabulous tutorial that I used too!

Cards for men can be quite tricky can't they?  The Sailing Home bundle gives many options to create quick and effective cards for men without resorting to the more traditional themes.  The photo above shows two of the four panels on my project both of which would also make great cards.

I just had to share again the project below using the Hand Lettered Prose dies.  I'll admit that they are not the most exciting item in the catalogue but they have so many uses.  I created this project for a Stampers By The Dozen blog hop and received lots of lovely compliments on it.  (Thank you)!

August saw my second anniversary of hopping with the lovely ladies at Stampers By The Dozen.  We were given carte blanche to create whatever we liked so, I created something for myself to hang in my craft room.

This was the very first sampler I made and, although it was created in a bit of a last minute rush, (usual for me), I was quite pleased with it.  I was also persuaded to offer this project as a workshop too.  You can find full details of the project HERE.

The project I made for a Tic Tac Toe Challenge was a favourite of mine.  I love the animals from Animal Outing - I've used them a lot!

I have really enjoy the challenges set each month and it is a privilege to be a member of the Joy of Sets Challenge Blog design team.

September
Christmas crafting started in earnest this month.  The card below was a particular favourite of mine.  I loved the colours used and the simple imagery and, it was fun the get inky creating the background too!

These cute Playful Penguins were a big hit - I would have liked to use them again but I ran out of time.  Hopefully, they will be around for 2020.  If not, I will be keeping them in my menagerie!

September wasn't just about crafting for Christmas - I was pleased to be able to use a long time favourite stamp set of mine called Painted Harvest.  This set is so versatile and I have used it so much!  You can find lots of inspiration for Painted Harvest over on my Pinterest board.

Well, that's it for Part 3 - I really enjoy looking back on the year, seeing what I have been up to etc.  It's so easy to forget these days!

I am offering a little giveaway over on my facebook page; leave a comment, with a photo if possible of your favourite project from 2019.  I will choose a winner at random in 2020 (eek)!

I'll be back soon with Part 4!

Crafty hugs!

Susan xx
