Painted Poppies - quick & simple
Here are the details for our first project this week using the gorgeous Painted Poppies Bundle.
The images in this stamp set are just gorgeous and look at the dies too. Frames, labels, leaves, a flower, a swirly wreath and a border! So many ideas, so little time. I really hope this bundle will carry over into the upcoming Annual Catalogue.
Here is our project; clean and simple and ever so quick to make. It is proving very popular with my crafty ladies so far this week.
To create the Painted Poppies card
Thick ww 29 cm x 10.5 cm scored at 14.5 cm. You will also need a small piece for the die cut and the sentiment.
Die cut a panel from thick ww.
Using Memento ink, stamp the poppy image onto the panel. Using the splodge image and second generation ink (stamped off first), add a Old Olive splodge on the bottom of the panel and a Smokly Slate one over the flowers.
Place the stamped panel onto the card base as a guide for stamping further splodges. Obviously, remove the panel again before stamping!
I coloured the stamped image with Poppy Parade and Old Olive Stampin Blends and mounted the panel to the card base with dimensionals.
The sentiment is from a stamp set called Label Me Bold - I can't seem to stop using this set. The sentiment has been stamped in Poppy Parade ink on a scrap of thick ww, trimmed and adhered with dimensionals.
The inside of the card (and the envelope) have also been stamped to coordinate.
