Celebrate Sunflowers quick & simple

Here are the details for my first project this week using one of my favourite stamp sets from the new Annual Catalogue - Celebrate Sunflowers.  I have a bit of a thing for sunflowers, in fact one of the very first stamp sets I bought almost 30 years ago was of sunflowers. I still have them although I no longer use wood mounted stamps I can't bear to part with them - they are somewhere in the depths of a storage container near me!

Here is my project:
I love all the white space on this card!

Celebrate

The colours I used:
Unfortunately there are no Stampin' Blends in Bumblebee, fortunately Mango Melody is very close so I used instead!
21 cm x 14.5 cm ww thick - scored at 10.5 cm
10 cm x 14 cm ww thick
10 cm x 14 cm Bumblebee
9.5 cm x 13.5 cm ww thick

The stamping:
I used Early Espresso ink to the stamp a partial sunflower in the bottom left hand corner of the thick ww piece of card.  Using black ink would have been too harsh for this project.

The colouring:
I used the Stampin' Blends to colour the flower.  No fancy techniques, I just used the Light pen in both colours as there is so much lovely detail on this image.

The sentiment:
I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink - I really like sentiments that have a mix of fonts on them don't you?

Stampin' Up, Flowers for Every Seasons, Celebrate Sunflowers, Craftyduckydoodah,

The inside:
I used the smaller sunflower image in the set to stamp in the corner of the regular ww piece of card. I coloured in the same fashion as the front.

To assemble:
I used dimensionals to adhere the stamped panel to the card front and double sided tape to adhere the tow inside panels to the card.

As a finishing touch I added three Bumblebee enamel dots.

Completed card and envelope:
I also added a smaller sunflower on the envelope.

Top tip:
If want to colour images on envelopes with the Stampin' Blends be sure to put a piece of scrap card on the inside first to stop the ink bleeding through.

Celebrate
I really do love the stark vibrancy of this card - I will be making lots of them with different sentiments and, perhaps in different colours too!

I will be back later this week with another project using Celebrate Sunflowers using Magenta Madness!

Stay safe and well, and have a crafty week!
