Have A Hoot - Boo!

Hello, I've managed to find a little time to craft today.  First time this week - building work is not going well at all :(

Anyway, I have a quick and simple project using a stamp and die bundle called Have A Hoot.

Craftyduckydoodah, Have A Hoot, Stampin' Up,

I've used this bundle a lot - it is so versatile and I love the font used for the sentiments!

Here is my project:

The colours I used:

You will need:

ww notecard and envelope

WW thick for stamping and die cutting

small piece of Basic Black for die cutting

The stamping and die cutting:

Die cut a Stitched Shape circle from ww thick card.  I used Memento ink to stamp the owl on the branch twice, once on the circle and again on a piece of scrap.  I used a small piece of black card to cut out the spider's web.

To assemble:

Craftyduckydoodah, Have A Hoot, Stampin' Up,

Colour the images with Stampin' Blends.  No need to colour the owl on the stitched circle as it will be covered up!

I used a piece of the lovely metallic mesh ribbon as a background.  I pulled it about a bit to make it wider.  Adhere on the front of the note card - I used a piece of double sided tape.

Adhere the circle with dimensionals and then add the die cut owl and spider (how cute is that) with dimensionals.  I added tiny dabs of Tombow to the web and tucked it under the circle.

I used three jewels; dotting them around the mesh as it helped to attach the mesh and keep if flat.

The inside/envelope:
I stamped the owl hiding behind the pumpkin and 'Boo!' using Memento ink.  I coloured the images with Stampin' Blends.

Top Tip:

Don't forget to add a piece of scrap card to the inside of the envelope whilst colouring.  If you don't the ink will bleed through.

Here is the completed project:

Craftyduckydoodah, Have A Hoot, Stampin' Up,

I don't usually bother sending Halloween cards; it's not something we are big on in the UK.  However, I will be making several more of these little owl cards to send to some of my favourite ladies at a local Care Home to let them know I am missing them and our weekly craft sessions.

Have a crafty week.

Susan xx
