Winter Woods - quick & simple

Hello, I have a lovely project to share with you today using the Winter Woods stamp set and a favourite background technique of mine.

Here is my project:

The colours I used:

Cajun Craze

Crushed Curry

Old Olive

Pumpkin Pie

You will need:

21 cm x 10.5 cm ww thick - scored at 10.5 cm

10 cm x 14 ww thick

The background:

I used the brush tip on the Stampin' Write markers to add colour to a 'C' Block.  I used colours from the Regals family. Spritz with clean water and 'stamp' on the ww panel.  Press down firmly and watch the colours mix and mingle.

I love this technique; you just never know what you are going to end up with, you also get a different result every time!

Ideally, leave to dry but if you are impatient like me you can use a heat gun!

The Stamping:

I used Early Espresso ink to stamp the trees.  I also added a sentiment on the bottom using a stamp from Life Is Beautiful.

To assemble:

Adhere a piece of the lovely tactile faux suede trim around the bottom of the card adhering on the reverse with double sided tape.  Adhere the panel to the card base with dimensionals.

The inside/envelope:

I stamped a partial image in one corner of the card and the envelope using Early Espresso ink.

The completed project:

This is a lovely quick and simple project that would be perfect for those tricky male cards don't you think?  You could also change the colours for the background to create different effects depending on which stamp you were using too.

I will be back later this week with another project using Winter Woods.  I really do love this time of the year and have been busy making lots of cards with leaves on.
