Hand-Penned Petals - Stamping INKspirations

Hello and welcome to another Stamping INKspirations blog hop.  This month our theme is all things floral - I will be using the Hand-Penned Petals stamp and die bundle for my project.

If you have hopped over from Gez Carpenter or have started here with me at Craftyducky HQ we have lots of fabulous projects to share with you this month.

The hand-drawn images in this set are so pretty, allowing you to create a water coloured look to projects with ease.  My project today started last month when I created a pretty gift box for another blog hop (details can be found HERE).  I usually stamp/die cut more images than a I need just in case I have a misshap of some sort.  On this occasion I ended up with with a spare flower image and I had no intention of wasting it so I used it to create my project for this hop.

Here is my project:

The colours I used:

You will need:

21 cm x 14.5 cm Basic White Thick (BWT) - scored at 10.5 cm

10 cm x 14.5 cm Fresh Freesia

BWT for stamping/die cutting

The background:

Included in this bundle is a scalloped edge border die.  I carefully positioned the die along the long edge of the Fresh Freesia card around 2 cm from the edge.  Did you also spot the stitched edge above the scallops?  Stitched edges are one of my favourite things!

Top Tip:

I used my grid paper to ensure that I have positioned the die in a straight line.  I then use pieces of washi tape to hold in place when die cutting - there is nothing worse than a wonky border is there?

The stamping and die cutting:

Stamp the floral image onto BWT card using Memento ink then cut out with the coordinating die.  I then used the 'filler' stamps to add colour the flowers and leaves.

The sentiment:

I stamped this lovely handwritten sentiment onto a scrap of BWT using Evening Evergreen ink.  I used the Messages dies to cut it out.

To assemble:

Adhere a piece of this lovely ribbon to the Fresh Freesia panel using double sided tape on the reverse.  Adhere the panel to card front using dimensionals.

Adhere the stamped flowers with dimensionals and also the sentiment.  I then added some of the gorgeous In Colour jewels for a bit of sparkle.  I have been using these jewels a lot - they are so pretty!

The inside/envelope:

I stamped partial floral images on both the inside of the card and the front of the envelope with Memento ink.  I then used the 'filler' images as above.

The completed projects:

Here is m completed card and envelope along with the gift box I made previously.  Looking at the photo below I am wondering why I did not add the tiny bow that I tied with the ribbon on the front of the card - I may just have to revisit this project and tweak it a little!

The card and the gift box would make a fabulous gift for someone special wouldn't they?

Next up is Annette Ball who has another fabulous floral project to share.

Thank you so much for looking at my Blog today.  Unfortunately I am no longer a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  SU regulations are very strict; I have to wait 3 whole months before I can rejoin again.

If you need to order any supplies, just let me know and I will put you in touch with my crafty friend who kindly agreed to look after my lovely customers until I can become a demonstrator again.

If you would like a copy of either of the current Annual Catalogue just let me know and I will arrange for a copy to be sent to you.
