Stampin' Up! Gift from the Garden - stepped up

Hello, this is the second stepped up card we made this week using Gift from the Garden.

I spent ages working on the sample card, wasting lots of card and time on trying the get the angles correct so that the shelf looked three dimensional. Eventually I managed it.  I also played around with various background cardstock combinations but decided that Very Vanilla worked best with the stamping done in Soft Suede.

The ladies that crafted with me on Tuesday got the gist of it straight away - so much so, in fact that they angled both shelves and, they made it look really simple!

I did take a green ink with me just in case anyone wanted green wellies but everyone went for red ones.

It is amazing how just simply stamping in black and then selectively adding tiny cut out pieces really brings an image to life.

I sponged some Early Espresso ink around the edges of the watering can as I thought it looked a bit flat.

I must confess that if I could find a pair like these I would buy them in an instant!!

I was chatting to one of my regular crafters afterwards and asked her which of the many, many projects she had completed with me over the last 12 months was her favourite.  Her immediate response was the shed card she had just finished!

We stamped a pair of wellies on the front of the envelope too.
